Grain and CVG Grow Kit

Step 1: Preparation

• Inspect the Kit: Check the bag for any damage or air leaks.
• Clean the Workspace: Ensure your space is clean by wiping down surfaces with isopropyl alcohol. Close windows and doors to minimize contamination.

Step 2: Inoculation

• Sterilize: Put on gloves and sterilize the syringe and injection port with alcohol wipes.
• Attach Needle: Carefully attach the needle to the syringe without touching it.
• Inoculate: Inject 5-10ml of a spore solution or liquid culture into the injection port.

Step 3: Incubation

• Ideal Conditions: Store the bag in a dark, warm place (20-25°C). Avoid direct heat. (Like heat mats or radiators)
• Monitor Growth: Growth should appear near the injection site in 10-14 days.

Step 4: Break & Shake

• Redistribute Mycelium: Once the grain is colonized, gently break up the substrate and redistribute the mycelium.

Step 5: Final Incubation

• Complete Colonization: Return the bag to the same conditions and wait for full colonization (typically 1 week).
